Mitra Behroozi, Esq.
Executive Director, 1199SEIU Benefit and Pension Funds
Mitra Behroozi was named Executive Director of the 1199SEIU Benefit and Pension Funds on January 1, 2004. She has nearly 20 years of experience in the field of employment law and employee benefits. Before her appointment as Executive Director of the Benefit and Pension Funds, she was a partner in Levy, Ratner and Behroozi, a law firm specializing in labor and employment law and serving as principal counsel for 1199SEIU.
Ms.Behroozi is committed to ensuring access to quality, affordable healthcare and hopes to have a positive impact on the delivery of healthcare services both within the Fund and beyond. In 2006, the Comptroller General appointed Ms. Behroozi to the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC). She is one of 17 commissioners on this independent body who analyze issues affecting Medicare and provide recommendations to the United States Congress. She is also on the Board of Directors for the New York Civil Liberties Union and serves on the advisory boards of the American Cancer Society (New York Region) and the Industrial Relations Research Association. She is a graduate of Brown University and New York University Law School.
Vivian Fox
Executive Director, 1199SEIU Child Care Funds

Vivian Fox was appointed Executive Directorof the 1199SEIU Child Care Funds in January, 2006. Previously, Ms. Foxwas President and CEO of the National Medical Fellowships.
Ms.Fox has more than three decades of experience in creating and overseeing innovative social service and health programs, in both the private and public sector. She has served as Executive Director of the YWCA of the City of New York, and has worked as a consultant to the Ford Foundation and the Carnegie Corporation and continues to serve as consultant to the Institute for Mediation and Conflict Resolution. She is active on several boards and councils including the Harlem Hospital Advisory Board, New York Women's Agenda, New York Women of Distinction,and the New York Chapter of National Political Congress of Black Women.In March 2007, she was appointed to the New York City Commission on Women's Issues by Mayor Bloomberg. Ms. Fox holds a B.S. in Political Science from Hunter College.
Deborah King
Executive Director, 1199SEIU Training and Employment Funds 
Deborah King was appointed Executive Director of the 1199SEIU Training and Employment Funds in 1995. She has been involved in quality worker education and labor relations for over 40 years. She started her career as an organizer for District 65, Retail Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) in 1964. She previously served as a Vice President and Executive Vice President of1199SEIU, developing training, employment security and labor-management initiatives. She currently directs the International Action Research Project (IARP), a collaborative initiative that brings together international leaders in healthcare to compare best practices in quality care. She is also the Project Director of the Health Careers Advancement Program (HCAP), a national project to develop career ladders for healthcare workers.
Ms.King has been an adjunct professor at Cornell University in labor-management and work and family issues for 10 years and was a faculty member at the College of Industrial Relations in Dublin,Ireland. She is a member of the New York City Workforce Investment Board, Chairperson of the New York Union Child Care Coalition and aboard member of Child Care, Inc., and the New York City Employment and Training Coalition. Ms. King holds a B.S. from Cornell University in Industrial and Labor Relations.
