Vouchers

This benefit is available for the following funds:

Training & Upgrading Fund
RN Training & Upgrading Fund
Greater NY Education Fund
Home Care Education Fund

The voucher option allows 1199SEIU members to take up to 6 credits each semester (a maximum of 24 credits per year) with no out-of-pocket costs. The Training and Upgrading Fund pays the college directly. You can apply for vouchers in person at a Training Fund location each semester.

Colleges Accepting Tuition Vouchers

City University of New York (CUNY) — All colleges
State University of New York (SUNY) — All 4-year colleges and the following 2-year colleges: Westchester County Community College Rockland County Community College Dutchess County Community College Nassau County Community College Suffolk County Community College Touro College — All locations

First-time Voucher Submission Period

Fall Term — June 1 through August 20
Winter and Spring Terms — October 1 through December 15
Summer Term — April 1 through May 31

Repeat Voucher Submission Period

• Fall Term – August 1 – September 30
• Winter and Spring Terms – December 1 – January 31
• Summer Term – May 1 – June 30
