When we introduced your EmblemHealth Preferred Dental Plan in April 2017, the new plan included an expanded network of providers and improved services. Since then, however, some members have been charged for services that providers used to provide at no cost. To prevent members from facing unnecessary out-of-pocket costs in the future, we worked with EmblemHealth to fix the problem. If you live in certain counties, you may have received a new EmblemHealth Dental ID card. At your next appointment, be sure to remind your dentist that this is a new plan, and you should not be charged for previously covered services.
