2019 Protecting Our Health Calendar Promotes Year-round Wellness
The Greater New York Benefit Fund is issuing its 2019 Protecting Our Health calendar, a helpful resource that your 1199SEIU employees and members can use all year long to improve their physical and mental health. The calendar is filled with tips on nutrition, fitness and stress management, as well as information on wellness programs, health workshops and other events aimed at helping your 1199SEIU employees and members adopt healthier lifestyle habits. Training and Employment Funds Issue Employer Survey
The Training and Employment Funds (TEF) have developed a five-year strategic plan to better respond to the needs of nursing homes, long-term care facilities and the healthcare industry as a whole, while also providing quality education and training opportunities for healthcare workers. To achieve this goal, TEF is asking employers to take a 15-minute survey about specific workforce-development initiatives and immediate and near-future needs. The data gathered will help TEF better allocate resources to appropriate training and career pathways, identify potential funding sources and work with post-secondary institutions and outside vendors to develop degree and training programs that respond to industry needs. TEF will share the results of the survey at a future date.

Please note that individual employers' survey responses will be kept confidential.
