More NBF Members Access Telehealth Benefits in COVID-19 Pandemic
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Benefit Fund (NBF) has expanded telehealth services for your 1199SEIU employees and members so they can avoid transportation and crowded waiting rooms while receiving the care they need, as well as comply with CDC guidelines to maintain social distancing. In addition to their Teladoc benefit, members can now speak with any participating provider in the NBF network offering telehealth services during the crisis. They may also access mental health and emotional support from any psychologist, social worker or psychiatrist in the NBF provider network. So far this year, your 1199SEIU employees and members have accessed these services from participating providers 60,367 times and visited Teladoc 6,118 times. For more information, please direct your 1199SEIU employees and members to visit www.1199SEIUBenefits.org/covid-19-resources.

To date, TEF has held 10 virtual town hall meetings with a total of 2,500 participants. TEF will continue to facilitate virtual town halls with additional employers in the future.
