The Employment & Job Placement (EJP) Center works in partnership with the 1199SEIU Training and Employment Funds to build a strong healthcare workforce. EJP leverages our partnerships with Union leaders and management to create measurable recruitment and placement success. We empower job seekers to achieve fulfilling careers by bridging workforce gaps and driving innovative recruitment solutions.

Currently, only participants in the Career Pathways Training Program receive comprehensive Career Services through EJP, including resume assistance, career planning, interview preparation, job search support, and job placement assistance.

Non-CPT Program participants can still use EJP to browse open healthcare positions and submit their resume to positions that match their criteria.

Whether you’re a CPT Program participant or not, submitting your resume alone does not guarantee you the job you apply for.

For non-CPT Program job seekers, there’s no guarantee that you’ll hear back from jobs you apply for or guaranteed timeline to be contacted. Once you submit your information, you’ll be notified if a job becomes available that matches your criteria and qualifications.

EJP works hand-in-hand with employers across New York State to put qualified candidates into quality jobs.

In addition to reaping the benefits of our relationships with employers, job seekers who find employment through EJP will be connected to good, union jobs through 1199SEIU.

1199SEIU is a union of healthcare workers, that operates in the homecare, hospital and nursing home industries, as well as pharmacies, freestanding clinics and other healthcare settings. With over 400,000 members throughout New York State, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Florida, Maryland and Washington, DC, they are the largest local union in the world.

Existing 1199SEIU members can access career support through the MyTEF portal. Through MyTEF, members can access career support, request an appointment, manage their benefits, and much more.

Partner healthcare providers can submit vacancies directly to EJP to get connected to qualified, motivated candidates. Partners will also receive support from a dedicated EJP recruiter who will work with partners to understand their hiring needs and deliver the right candidates.
