Job Seeker FAQs

1. What happens after I submit my information to EJP?

When you submit an application to EJP, you are applying to become part of our candidate network for the type of position you selected.

The first step is our intake process, where the EJP team reviews your application, experience, credentials and other qualifications to confirm that you meet the minimum requirements for the position you applied for. If you meet those requirements, you will become part of our candidate pool for that job type.

EJP maintains candidate pools across a variety of healthcare job titles so that we can respond to the hiring needs of our employer partners. When an employer submits a vacancy, our recruitment team reviews the appropriate candidate pool to identify individuals who meet the specific requirements of the position. We consider factors such as qualifications and experience, as well as the availability, preferred work locations and shift preferences you provided in your application.

If your qualifications and preferences align with an available opportunity, an EJP recruiter may contact you to discuss the position and next steps. Because the position you apply for determines which candidate pool you may enter, it is important to apply for a job title that best matches your experience and for which you meet the minimum qualifications. It is also important to provide accurate and current information in your application.

Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into an EJP candidate pool, a referral to an employer, an interview or a job offer.

2. How long does it take for EJP to review my application?

Applications are generally reviewed within 60 days of submission. Due to application volume and changing employer needs, review times may vary. If additional information is needed or your qualifications align with an opportunity, an EJP recruiter may contact you directly.

3. Why might EJP contact me if I did not apply for a specific job?

EJP continuously recruits and screens candidates across a variety of healthcare occupations, qualifications and experience levels to maintain a strong candidate pipeline. An EJP recruiter may contact you to learn more about your experience, qualifications, interests and availability so that you can be considered for current or future opportunities.

4. What does it mean to be part of the EJP candidate network?

Being part of the EJP candidate network means your information may be considered for employment opportunities that align with your qualifications and experience. When an employer partner submits a vacancy, EJP can review qualified candidates already within our network to identify potential matches. Being part of the network does not guarantee a referral, interview or job offer.

5. How will EJP contact me about a potential job opportunity?

EJP may contact you using the phone number (text or phone call), email address or other contact information you provided. It is important to keep your information current and regularly check your messages so that you do not miss potential opportunities.

6. How long do I have to respond if EJP contacts me about a job opportunity?

Candidates should respond within 24 to 48 hours of EJP’s initial outreach regarding a potential opportunity. Because employer hiring needs are time sensitive, EJP may continue recruitment efforts and consider other qualified candidates during this period.

7. What happens if I do not respond within 24 to 48 hours?

If you do not respond within 24 to 48 hours after the initial outreach, EJP may move forward with other qualified candidates for that particular opportunity. You may still be considered for future opportunities based on your qualifications and availability.

8. What happens after EJP refers me to an employer?

Once you are referred, the employer manages the next steps in its hiring process. This may include an interview, additional screening or assessments, requests for documentation or other pre-employment requirements. Hiring processes and timelines vary by employer.

9. Does being referred by EJP guarantee me an interview?

No. A referral means EJP has identified you as a potential match based on the information available and the employer’s stated requirements. The employer ultimately determines which candidates move forward for interviews and makes all final hiring decisions.

10. How long does the employer’s hiring process take after I am referred?

Hiring timelines vary by employer and position. EJP cannot guarantee when an employer will contact a candidate, schedule an interview, provide feedback or make a hiring decision.

11. Can I check the status of my application or referral?

Due to the volume of candidates that EJP supports, we may not be able to provide individual status updates during the initial application review period. If you have been referred for a specific position, your EJP recruiter may share updates when information is received from the employer.

12. What should I do if my contact information, resume, license or certification changes?

Keep your information current so that EJP can accurately assess your qualifications and match you with potential opportunities. Update your profile and resume when your contact information, employment history, education, license, certification or other relevant credentials change.
