Registered apprenticeship is an innovative earn-while-you-learn industry specific training model that includes financial rewards for skill gains and a national occupational credential upon completion. These apprenticeships combine on-the-job training with classroom training. This dual training model is worker-friendly because what you learn in the classroom is reinforced at work, which eliminates the school-to-employment gap that exists in many critical emerging healthcare occupations.
