Sleep-away camp is a great way for your child to learn independence, responsibility, and new skills and hobbies. Your child may be eligible to attend the program if you have family coverage (Wage or Eligibility Class I) through your Benefit Fund and your child is between the ages of 9 and 15.
At the Anne Shore Sleep-Away Camp Program, children attend two- to four-week summer sleep-away camps located across the Northeast. The 1199SEIU/Employer Child Care Corporation administers the program, offering a variety of camp options so that parents are able to select the best summer experience for their child. Diverse offerings include academic, technology, sports, arts and traditional camps. Camps for children with disabilities or special needs are also available.
All camps that participate in the Anne Shore Sleep-Away Camp Program are independently owned and operated, and are accredited by the American Camp Association. The Child Care Corporation staff of the Anne Shore Sleep-Away Camp Program does everything it can to help ensure that the camp providers offered to 1199SEIU members are among the best camps to choose from.
