1199SEIU/League Labor Management Project Helps Deepen the Pool of Trained Mediators

Fifteen Montefiore associates who completed a 40-hour intensive workplace mediation training program were honored during a certificate presentation recently at Montefiore Medical Center's East Garden. The Honorable Fernando Tapia of the Bronx County Supreme Court officially swore in the honorees as mediators serving the Montefiore community at its Moses and Wakefield campuses. Trained mediators facilitate conflict resolution for Montefiore employees who voluntarily agree to use this optional, confidential service to resolve interpersonal disagreements or disputes at the workplace. The workplace mediation training program is a joint initiative of the 1199SEIU/League Training and Employment Fund's Labor Management Project, 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East and Montefiore Medical Center. The Annual Care for Kids Gala Is December 7

The Ninth Annual 1199SEIU/Employer Child Care Corporation's Care for Kids Gala will take place next Monday, December 7, at the Edison Ballroom in Manhattan's theater district.
