Your Benefit Fund is offering you a new benefit through Teladoc, a telehealth and video conferencing service. This service gives you access to licensed Teladoc doctors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by phone or video. If you or a family member is sick or in pain and your own doctor is unavailable, you can get quality care in minutes—and save yourself a trip to an urgent care center or emergency room. Of course, Teladoc should not be used for emergency medical situations.
As of May 1, you can call Teladoc to:
- Speak with one of more than 3,600 board-certified doctors by phone or video, any time of the day or night
- Get diagnosis and recommended treatment for symptoms such as cold and flu, fever, sprains, backaches and rashes
- Get a prescription for medication, if necessary
- Share necessary information with your primary care doctor after your virtual visit
It takes a bit of time to set up your Teladoc account, so you may want to set it up now so that it’s there when you need it. Just visit Teladoc.com and click “Set Up Account.” Once you log in, click on the “My Medical History” tab, complete the information and you’re done. Now, a Teladoc doctor is just a click or phone call away!

If you do not receive health benefits through the Home Care Benefit Fund, you are not eligible for Teladoc—but you still have access to your Benefit Fund’s 24-Hour Health Helpline:
