Eligibility for Health and Other Benefits for National Benefit Fund for Rochester Members
Members are generally eligible for benefits after they have been working for a contributing employer for 90 days or more, and the employer has made contributions to the Fund for 30 days or more.
Wage Class
- If you work full-time, your benefit level is generally Wage Class I.
If you work part-time, your benefit level is:
- Wage Class I — if you earn 100 percent of the minimum full-time wage
- Wage Class II — if you earn at least 60 percent but less than 100 percent of the minimum full-time wage
- Wage Class III — if you earn less than 60 percent of the minimum full-time wage.
If you are in Wage Class I or II, you are eligible for Family coverage. This means that you, your spouse (or same-sex partner) and your children, if eligible, can receive benefits from the Benefit Fund.
If you are in Wage Class III, only you (the member) can receive benefits. Your spouse (or same-sex partner) and your children are not eligible for coverage from the Benefit Fund.
