Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update on the Workers’ Compensation Clinic

Due to the Fund actively monitoring updates regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19), we have decided to suspend the Workers’ Compensation Clinic until further notice.

If members have questions regarding Workers’ Compensation rights and benefits, please contact the Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) at (800) 877-1373 or www.wcb.ny.gov.

If you require assistance with filing a Workers’ Compensation case, please contact Pasternack, Tilker, Ziegler, Walsh, Stanton & Romano LLP at (718) 222-9800. Please inform the law firm that you are an 1199SEIU member.

If your Workers’ Compensation case has been denied or controverted, please contact the Disability Department at (646) 473-6710.

If you are injured on the job or suffer a work-related illness, you must file a Workers’ Compensation claim with your employer. You may then be compensated for lost wages and health benefits related to your condition. The Benefit Fund will continue to provide health benefits not related to the illness or injury for up to 26 weeks while you are recovering.
