Disability and Maternity
Your disability benefit provides a financial cushion if you are temporarily unable to work as a result of non-work related accidents, injury or illness. Pregnancy is also covered under this benefit. You may be eligible for up to 26 weeks of short-term disability benefits based on your wage, as well as continuation of your health benefits. If you need additional time to bond with your child, you may apply for Paid Family Leave when your disability leave ends. Paid Family Leave
cannot be taken at the same time as disability leave.
