WorkForce 2000 Pre-RN Lab Coat Ceremony

One of the highlights of WorkForce 2000 is the annual Pre-RN Lab Coat Ceremony. The ceremony recognizes the achievements of WorkForce Pre-RN graduates who are considering a career path in nursing. Last year WorkForce Coordinator for Youth Michael Williams was honored to have alumnus Eizan Wallace inspire graduates and the audience with his reflections on the Pre-RN program and his career path since graduating. Eizan shared the drive and passion that Pre-RN Specialist Carla Lowe instilled in him as he progressed through the program. He stated that throughout the program “I was pushed beyond what I thought were my limits and reminded that I could do anything that I set my mind to!”

As the Pre-RN track of WorkForce 2000 aims to increase both the availability and diversity of the New York City nursing workforce by preparing high school students to seriously consider nursing professions, the 1199SEIU/Employer Child Care Corporation looks to broaden its network and provide the best opportunities for tomorrow’s leaders.
