The 1199SEIU Child Care Funds offer free seminars, workshops and camp fairs that address the needs of working parents and help members make the most of the opportunities available to their children. All events are informative, can serve as collaborative tools for you and your family, and are designed to help you better balance the demands of your career with the challenges of parenthood.

During this workshop, you will learn more about your special needs benefits, which include the Day Care/Afterschool Reimbursement Voucher and the Summer Day Camp Reimbursement Voucher.

Join us for the Cultural Arts Program (CAP)/ Cultural Arts Stipend Program (CASP) Benefits Workshop on Monday, March 23, 2026. During this workshop you will learn more about your co-payment, programs offered with each provider and next steps.

Next steps after evaluation

This workshop will inform you what the steps look like and what resources are available for you and your child. Gary Shulman, a National Advocate and Workshop Presenter, will discuss the most effective ways to complete and submit the necessary applications for those resources. Mr. Shulman has 50 years of expertise in supporting families of special needs children. Please extend the invite to anyone you know that may need benefits or have a child with special needs.
