Boost Your Financial Health With Our Free Online MoCaFi Education Series

To help you take charge of your financial health, we are working with Mobility Capital Finance (MoCaFi) and financial expert and CNN contributor Ryan C. Mack to bring you their Online Financial Health series that offers real–world strategies for getting your finances in order—and easing your stress. Not your typical financial services company, MoCaFi has a mission “to provide responsible financial products to the communities that are not well–served by large banks and other financial service companies”—communities where many of us live and work. What’s more, MoCaFi has designed this series specifically for our members.

To sign up for the series, which begins October 13, visit Once you’re registered, you can access online presentations by Ryan C. Mack, MoCaFi’s Chief Literacy Officer, and live–chat with him, sign up for e-newsletters, view blog posts, offer feedback and suggest topics for future presentations, and more. Seeing a financial adviser can cost hundreds of dollars—only adding to money worries—so that’s why this online course is free, offered twice a month and accessible from the comfort of your home.

Are you overwhelmed or stressed-out about money?
Does the state of your finances make you sick?

It’s not as crazy as it sounds. Financial stress can have a major effect on your health, increasing your risk of heart attack, stroke and other serious health issues. Your Benefit Fund is here to help.

Meet MoCaFi’s Financial Expert, Ryan C. Mack

Ryan C. Mack, Chief Literacy Officer at Mobility Capital Finance (MoCaFi), previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Optimum Capital Management. A regular contributor to CNN’s financial coverage, he is also the author of Living in the Village: Build Your Financial Future and Strengthen Your Community. The Detroit native has always believed in giving back to the community, and said he found the perfect fit with the Benefit Fund and MoCaFi. “What drew me to 1199SEIU and the Benefit Fund was the environment,” Ryan said. “There’s a commitment to the membership that says, ‘We’re here to help you,’ and then surrounds them with resources. It means a lot to me personally to work with such a progressive organization–and one that has the potential to affect thousands of lives and families.”
